1966 Res 1B b Fleece to Loom

These photos show a sequence from shearing to weaving. The photo of shearing is from 1973, all the others are from 1966. They show carding the fleece on a bamboo frame with a kind of bow; spinning the carded fleece with a spindle; using a mini-windmill to wind the thread onto bobbins; setting up the bobbins in a frame in the doorway of an empty house; plaiting the threads from the bobbins into long warp threads for the loom; the loom set up; and, finally, weaving.
